Architecture
Topology of the SIT Network:
34 SIT access points in 19 banking establishments’ IT centres.
The SIT is made up of a series of hardware, software and telecom
links that are distributed throughout France.
The hardware, provided by two different manufacturers, consists of two
types:
- microcomputers installed in the IT centres of the banking
establishments, that serve as system access points and are known as
"stations";
- the SIT "common centres" such as the Accounting Centre, the
Management Centre and the Back-up Centre, which provide the engines
that drive the system.
The software programs are distributed between the SIT
access points and the Common Centres for
purposes of verifications, data management and transmission. The secure
telecom links rely on the suppliers of the IP network.
The management and supervision of the SIT are entirely carried out
throughout remote servicing.
