Our system
As Mr. Jourdain is
so fond of saying, everyone unknowingly benefits from the SIT’s
services, through their banks, every time anyone issues or receives
a means of payment.
The SIT system :
Interbank added value network = only
between the
banks Teleclearing =
“tele” meaning electronic transmission and “clearing” for the
calculation of the balances between banks.
The Interbank Teleclearing System, the exchange
and netting system for truncated bulk and small value means of
payment, is open for interbank exchanges 24 hours a day, 6 days a
week. Only transactions labelled in euros transit via the SIT.
All credit or financial institutions on French
soil that have a means of payment activity directly or indirectly
use the SIT. |
