SIT meaning :
A logical unit of a Receiving Installation that receives and stores messages (M1) from the Issuing Installations. The Participant can opt to have messages distributed to different mailboxes based on certain criteria.
General meaning :
Electronic system which stores messages received from various sources in anticipation of their withdrawal. Exchanges between the issuer and receiver are in this way desychronized.
